Toshiba has announced the development of a portable satellite television device that captures
software via satellite. The device is designed with a 3.5-inch liquid crystal display. The mobile TV
services currently being tested are expected to start next year in Japan. The new mobile is an
important development in this area, at a time when the spread of digital mobile phones that receive
television programs from local terrestrial broadcasting stations, and on a small scale, and the current
developments are aimed at expanding the geographical reach of receiving phones for television programs.
